HandsOn Cleveland's Homeless "Stand Down" - UCUMC Outreach will again this year be supporting the Homeless Stand Down, organized by HandsOn Northeast Ohio. We have been asked to donate the following men's outerwear items to be provided to those in need in Greater Cleveland:
New or nearly new winter coats **Men Sizes XL, 2XL, 3XL
New or nearly new winter boots **Men's Sizes 10-13
New Waterproof Gloves
New Winter Hats
The Stand Down is EARLY this year, so donations must be received at church by Sunday, January 15th.
The UMWomen's group will be providing many winter hats and scarves, so we will be most in need of the coats and boots. If you have a clean, VERY gently used winter coat or boots (larger men's sizes preferable), or if you are willing to purchase a new coat or boots, please know that these items will be very warmly received by the Homeless Stand Down. We were blown away by the generosity of the congregation in providing children's hats and gloves for Willow School, and we are hoping for a similar response to this needed mission. Thank you!
